Trade Financing

The Client request RBS Islamic Banking to establish a Letter of Credit (LC) for the import of certain commodities. The Client will sign a Murabaha Agreement with the Bank and then will be appointed as an agent for import of commodities on behalf of the Bank (through an agency agreement).

On arrival of the shipping documents / goods the customer will make an offer to purchase the goods and the Bank will accept and Murabaha Sale will be concluded. The payment can be made on spot or at a pre-agreed future date as per the terms of the Letter of Credit.
